Irma's Incursion: Tampa Bay – where'd the water go?

TAMPA, FL – With thanks to Facebook friend Bill Wingrove of Tampa's Davis Island Yacht Club who sent this video taken a few hours ago by Paul Dellegatto of Tampa's Fox 13 TV. Bill texted, "As predicted so no surprise, but still amazing to see – the exposed bottom of Tampa Bay from the easterly winds pushing the water out to the ocean. Big concern is what happens after Irma passes through us tonight and the water rushes back in. That's Bayshore Blvd. to the west of DIYC."

As I post this, Irma's eye is just going over Marco Island, about 150 miles south of Tampa. Thanks, Bill. Stay safe!
