Tuesdays with TFE: Preview of the AC Hall of Fame inductees, the latest on World Sailing, and a Bravo Zulu to the Olympic Finn Class

Thursday, August 30, 2018

HEATHROW AIRPORT, LONDON (#1090) – En route to Cowes, IOW for the America's Cup "Overture" announcements Friday afternoon, and the latest (2017 and 2018) AC Hall of Fame inductions at a black tie dinner hosted by the Royal Yacht Squadron and sponsored by PRADA Friday night. We covered this year's inductees and much more on our "Tuesdays with TFE" live webcast earlier this week. Watch a replay here. It's one of our most popular shows, with over 2100 views in 36 hours. We also covered the latest on the madness that is World Sailing these days, including the resignation of an esteemed and key staff member that, one hears, is just the beginning of a staff exodus.

Meanwhile, in Slovenia the Finn U23 Worlds for the Finn Silver Cup continues. On Wednesday Ondrej Teply (CZE) extended his lead as Hector Simpson (GBR, photo above by Robert Deaves) moved up with three 2nds on the championship's third day in Koper. Fully 36 sailors competing. Another nice video from the class here....
