SAN DIEGO – With the warm reception for yesterday's renewal of our "Daily Digest" posts, with links to current yacht racing articles that may be of interest to our loyal and growing group of Dear Readers, we continue today, Christmas Day 2017. Best wishes for the Holidays, and for a Happy, Healthy and Successful New Year!

First, in response to inquiries from many of you, a repeat of a link from yesterday....

How to watch the start of Rolex Sydney-Hobart Race - livestream coverage begins on Boxing Day (26 Dec) at 1230 AEDT (Sydney Time) / 0130 UTC, which in the USA is 1730 PST / 2030 EST on Christmas Night (25 Dec).

Ocean racing royalty (DORADE) comes to the Sydney-Hobart.

DORADE also made the Breitbart News.

Favorable conditions should give the four Supermaxis a record run to Hobart.

Dongfeng Race Team was able to fend off a late charge by Vestas 11th Hour Racing and Team Brunel to secure a second place finish on Leg 3 of the Volvo Ocean Race from Cape Town, South Africa to Melbourne, Australia.

Vestas 11th Hour Racing grabbed the final podium position over Team Brunel at the finish of Leg 3 of the Volvo Ocean Race.

The crew of Spanish entry Mapfre have set themselves up nicely for their next major trip to Hong Kong after storming to an impressive victory in the third leg of the Volvo Ocean Race.

Will Blair Tuke (NZL) become the first winner of yacht racing's Triple Crown – an Olympic gold medal, America's Cup winning crew, and Volvo Ocean Race winning crew?

Two-time America's Cup winner Jimmy Spithill, who was bullied as a child, is "deeply concerned" about the impact cyberbullying has on young children (with a couple nice year-end videos via CNN courtesy of Rolex Mainsheet).

Tom Slingsby remains hopeful of getting an Australian team for the next America's Cup but warns the longer it takes the more local sailing talent will be poached.

Finally, Santa sailing his Hobie, from the wire no less, via YouTube.
