Live Show: Join us for a Take Five with TFE, Friday at 1300 Pacific / 2100 UTC on Facebook Live featuring the 25th anniversary Harken International Youth Match Racing Championship in Australia

Friday, November 24, 2017

SAN DIEGO – Our Dear Readers will know how much we like following and supporting youth match racing. So tomorrow (Friday in the USA) at 1300 Pacific your Ed. will go live on our SI Facebook channel ( with key people involved in Australia's cool youth match championship, "The Harken," that is celebrating it's 25th year at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club in Pittwater, north of Sydney.

Live via Skype early on their Saturday morning just before the start of the semifinals, we will get the latest from RPAYC coach/guru Tommy Spithill (AUS), and talk with sailors David Wood (USA) and Jeffrey Petersen (USA, and SI contributor), members of two of the three American teams competing in The Harken, and with the skipper of whichever team is leading going into the semifinals (if other than Mr Wood).

While we are live we will also update you on the Volvo Ocean Race – by then we expect MAPFRE will have finished in Cape Town, and perhaps Dongfeng and Vestas 11th Hour as well – and with the latest reactions to the announcement of the concept AC75 fully-foiling monohull yacht by Emirates Team New Zealand earlier this week.

Take a break from your Black Friday shopping (only in the USA!) and join us for Friday's show on Facebook Live. Should be informative and fun.
