Transpac: Manouch Moshayedi's RIO 100 loses port rudder, but "back on course" after two-hour repair

PACIFIC OCEAN – RIO 100 hit an unidentified piece of wood/flotsam and lost the port rudder. After an exciting couple of hours of repairs RIO is back on course with starboard rudder only, no emergency rudder. Calm and efficient crew performed very well.  –From Rio's Facebook page, posted within the hour.
