AC35: Day 2 Results and Current Standings

SAILING ILLUSTRATED's pre-regatta predictions are looking pretty good after 12 races in Round Robin 1 for the so-called "Louis Vuitton Qualifiers." Three more races tomorrow to complete RR1. After a quirk in the schedule made OTUSA sail three races today, and FRA only once, tomorrow with only three races on tap OTUSA has the day off while Groupama Team France alone among all six teams will race twice. And after two days of six races per day, we're back on schedule, and only three races tomorrow.

While GBR stands second in the current standings, that's only because they carried two bonus points into the Qualifiers as the winner of the AC World Series racing over 2015-16. USA carried in one point. Without those two points, GBR would be at the bottom of the pile on only 1 point tied with JPN and FRA.
